Standing on Kipparvuori on a clear night, I was captivated by a single, dead tree silhouetted against the cosmos. The scene was an unforgettable study in contrast: the stark, solitary form of the tree against the infinite glow of a starry sky and a brilliant moon. To capture this moment, I chose a massive 90 x 120 cm canvas and used vibrant, highly textured acrylic paint to translate the scene. The final piece is presented in a grand golden frame, adding a sense of drama to the composition.
