This painting captures a moment of serene contemplation in Arles, France, following in the footsteps of Vincent Van Gogh. The scene is a personal homage to his iconic Starry Night Over the Rhône, reimagined with my own vibrant observations. A brilliant yellow crescent moon commands the sky, surrounded by a luminous greenish-turquoise halo. Across the deep blue sky, hints of violet mingle with the twinkling stars, which are all reflected in the still river below. The water also mirrors the warm, yellow glow of the lamps and illuminated buildings on the far bank, creating a dramatic contrast with the darkened silhouettes of the unlit structures and trees.
