My third sous-bois painting from Kivinokka was painted with oil sticks over a gray-green underpainting. The painting depicts a tree stump and a fallen tree with a red hooded figure in the distance. The painting is quite different to the previous sous-bois paintings. This time, the colors of fall, orange, yellow, and brown, fill the painting. As the chosen medium was oil sticks, the creation process did not include mixing of paint in palette. Instead, all hues and values were mixed in the canvas, using pure color from the oil sticks.
